Speed and craft, in balance.

Full-stack engineering that balances speed with craft. Our engineers prototype quickly to prove direction, then build production-ready systems with proper architecture, testing, and scalability. Digital engineering is about turning intent into durable systems.

Maintainable, high-quality software.

Front-End Engineering

Modern, responsive interfaces built for performance, accessibility, and long-term maintainability.

MVPs & Rapid Prototyping

Early implementations that validate direction with working software — not theoretical specs.

Design-to-Code Workflows

Translating design intent into production code with token-driven, system-aware implementation.

Development Workflow Automation

Improving delivery efficiency through streamlined workflows, tooling, and repeatable engineering practices.

Reliability & Scale

Meeting performance, accessibility, and reliability standards from day one — not as a future cleanup project.

From intent to durable systems.

Implementation Planning

Technical decisions grounded in shared context. No surprises in week three.

Design-to-Code Translation

Enhanced handoffs via clearer documentation, design tokens, and component contracts.

Delivery Acceleration

AI-augmented workflows that remove overhead, not judgment, from engineering work.

Technical Artifact Reuse

Engineering artifacts that support traceability, onboarding, and long-term system evolution.

Systems that hold up past launch.

Code built to survive ownership changes, traffic spikes, and the second release — not just the demo.

Production Front-End Platform

A modern, accessible, performant front-end with the testing, observability, and deployment workflows built in. Designed to be picked up and extended by the in-house team, not babysat.

AI-Enabled Engineering System

Spec-driven workflows, agent integrations, and codebase legibility so AI tools compound across the team rather than fork it. The foundation makes velocity safe.

Design-to-Code Pipeline

Token + component plumbing between Figma and production — design system updates ship to users without manual translation. Two sources of truth become one.

Reliability & Performance Foundation

Core Web Vitals, error budgets, accessibility baselines, and incident readiness — the unsexy work that determines whether the product is trusted at scale.

What stacks does Thresh work in?

We are pragmatic about stack choices. Our default for greenfield work is Next.js + TypeScript on the front-end and Node, Go, or Python on the server, with the AI workflow layer increasingly built around the Anthropic SDK, OpenAI SDK, and orchestration patterns we have developed across engagements. For brownfield engagements, we work in whatever stack the client has — we are not in the business of pushing a stack opinion onto a working system.

Do you do backend engineering or just front-end?

Both. Our engagement defaults to full-stack because most of the customer-facing work we lead has both front-end and back-end components. We staff specialists when an engagement needs deep platform engineering, but the typical Product Engineering engagement involves engineers who can move across the stack.

What does spec-driven development with AI actually look like in production?

Specs are the primary artifact: typed contracts for every unit of work, version-controlled alongside the code, written so an agent can implement against them and a human reviewer can verify correctness without reading the diff. The agent (typically Claude Code, Cursor, or a comparable tool) implements; an experienced engineer reviews against the spec rather than the implementation. This pattern is the subject of one of our published insights and is increasingly the default way we ship.

How do you handle code ownership and handoff?

Every engagement scopes a handoff to the in-house team explicitly in the brief. We write code that is meant to be inherited: idiomatic for the chosen stack, documented, tested, and with the specs and architectural decisions captured in the repo. We also stay available for a 30-90 day post-handoff support window for clarifying questions and to help the in-house team get up to speed.

Can you operate as a long-term engineering partner?

Yes — and a growing share of our engagements run as multi-quarter partnerships. The shape is typically a small embedded team that operates alongside the in-house team on a defined product surface or platform area, with quarterly reviews of scope and outcomes. We are explicit that the goal is the in-house team's capability rather than indefinite outsourcing.

Do you do security and compliance work?

We engineer to the security and compliance posture the engagement requires (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI environments), and we work directly with the client's security team to ensure the work passes formal review. We do not run security audit programs ourselves; for those, we work alongside specialist firms.
